The club road championships for this year ended on December 1st. The 40 category winners were presented with their certificates at Squares Night yesterday, with the full results – every club member’s best performance in each of the five distances – now available on the STATS>CLUB CHAMPS>CHAMPS ARCHIVE tab above.
The 2020 championships year is already underway. It started last Sunday with a number of races, including the ever-popular Turkey Trot. Bi-monthly updates will be available on the tab mentioned above, the first being posted at the end of February. Enjoy racing in 2020!
A new file has been added to the club championships page with all known results over the five CC distances to the end of October. Please let me (John Oldfield) know via FB or email if you think I’ve missed a race of yours (or made a mistake). A list of the leaders in each category is in the October Running Free, with just over a month to the end of the championship year.
2019 Club Championships
The awards for 2018 were made only last night but the 2019 season is already underway. More than 70 HPRC members completed the Turkey Trot last Sunday to get the new season off to a flying start. It already looks like many of the age groups will be just as competitive as last year. Don’t forget that if you want your result to count from any certified distance road race (5M, 10km, 10M, HM or M) then it must be in Running Free. Use the button at the bottom of this page to enter it.
John Oldfield writes – The Club Championships close on Sunday week, December 2nd. Any certified races up to and including that date are counted. Age groups this year are SW, SM, then 35, 45, 55, 65, 75. To be included, your result must be in Running Free (via the Google sheet). I’ll take results from the sheet up to close of play on the 5th.
The club championships are now two-thirds of the way through, with some brilliant performances added since the April update, particularly in the half marathon, 10km and 10 miles competitions. Remember that the championships year closes on December 2nd, so Turkey Trot successes will go into the 2019 championships.
