Team standings - Steve Shanks Trophy

Prizes

The 40th Anniversary Grand Prix was a fantastic success, we are thrilled and hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.  Such a buzz, with a fun and relaxed atmosphere.  Thank you so much for joining us.

Congratulations to our series winners, Juliet Potter and Darlington Magalela.  Also, to Beeston AC for winning the Steve Shanks Memorial Trophy.

We feel proud to be able to offer such a great event for the local running community, an opportunity to celebrate everyone's success, socialise, make new friends and raise money for Cardiac-Risk-in-the-Young.

Our series wouldn't be possible without the time, energy and enthusiasm of our volunteer team who did everything from managing entries, setting up the courses, organising prizes, car-parking and marshalling. A massive thank you to everyone at HPRC who has helped make this year’s edition go so smoothly over the last two weeks.

Also, to our our sponsors and supporters:

  • Sarah and Patrick at Tempo Timing.

  • Our EA Adjudicator Steve Roe and Referee Ange Roe.

  • Our photographers Chris Hill, Colin Brearley and Craig Linacre.

  • Up and Running - bibs, vouchers, pop-up shop, marketing, spot prizes.

  • The New FAT - T-shirt design, free water bottles

  • Great British Sports Cars - flyers and social media content

  • Tesco - Raffle prizes

  • LogoMeUp - T-shirt and memorabilia printing

  • PureGym - for the warm up that brought a smile to everyone's face

  • The Race Directors of the Newstead Abbey Dash, Trent 5, Edwinstowe 10k and  Turkey Trot for the free race entries

  • The Boat Club and Working Man's Kitchen

The photos are on the Holme Pierrepont RC Facebook page and Chris Hill has created an album for those who do not use Facebook- GP Photos.

T-Shirt Collection

We have quite a few pre-ordered, series t-shirts that were not collected on the last night.  I can offer the opportunity to collect these from the Holme Pierrepont Watersports Centre (reception) between 5-8 pm on Monday 22nd July.  After that we will have to donate them to charity (as we are not able to store them).

Survey

We changed quite a few things this year based on last year's feedback.  Please help us make next year's event even more successful by completing a short feedback GP Survey. This will be open until the end of July.

We look forward to seeing you all in the other local events over the rest of the summer, and of course the Grand Prix next year!  Put the series in your diaries (last Tue/Thur in June, first Tue/Thur July).
